Against All Odds
| For the families of most of the victims of mental
illness, it’s like a funeral that never ends. When I realized that
there were no magic cures for this illness and that none were likely to
be discovered in my lifetime, I threw myself into volunteer activities
that might better the lot of my son and millions like him who are
innocent victims of schizophrenia and manic-depression and depressive
psychosis. I find great comfort in my work for the better treatment of
the mentally ill.
