Against All Odds

Parents and family have to learn that we are people and have to be able to try to walk a little on our own. I know from experiences that with a positive support-but not over-watching, over-caring, we can take steps forward, become stronger and gain more self worth and confidence. It feels good to be welcomed and respected by non-consumers. People who see me as a person, not as a person with a mental illness.
