Against All Odds
| I am a real human being reaching out, willing to expose
myself and take risks of speaking out in order to improve conditions
surrounding mental illness. I ask to be accepted as I am and deep in my
heart I ask for your help. My plea is that you hear me and the thousands
afflicted with mental illness, that you see mental illness for what it
is, a disease of the brain, and that you help work toward the goal to
find a cure.
