My difficulties and heartaches of growing up in Kansas as a gay person have
become a distant memory. Living here in San Francisco among so many gay
people who accept themselves has been a healing experience. In my search
to understand and make peace with myself, I discovered my own deeply spiritual
nature. Out of this I learned to fully accept and love myself.
